Ok tomorrow is October 1st, so we can finally admit that it is fall. We are going to pretend like those last couple weeks of consuming pumpkin spiced everything was not us being crazy and just preparation… right? Right!
We all have our fall essentials that we need to make it through this transitional season, even here in LA where we lack any real change in weather. September was such a crazy month for me so I was so happy to have the September Popsugar Must Have Box to help me out with my fall essentials.
Fall is all about renewal (and football) and I love adding a new lip color to my rotation to spice up my look, and I am loving the Smith and Cult color that was sent to us in the box. I like that this lip lacquer has good color and is a bit lighter than what it appears in the packaging. September’s PopSugar Must Have Box also included a wide brim from Jack & Lucy hat is a necessity for life in LA! I always feel weird wearing hats but I snapchat’d it and got so many positive comments on it!
The Manicure Kit and Lint Roller that they included, while not the most glamorous, are probably the most useful. These are great travel items and since I travel so much for work I am always happy to have small, travel friendly products. I have not had a chance to try the hair mask yet, but it does smell amazing!!
These Gluten Free Dark Chocolate Bites are totally becoming a game day healthy snack -> TIU 31 Day Challenge starts Saturday!!

POPSUGAR sent me this Must Have Box to try in September. All opinions are my own.
I feel like these days we are always so busy… running around, working on our goals, living life to the fullest, but sometimes it is great to take a step back and have a nice girls weekend!
When my best friend Becca (have you seen her home tour!?!) texted me that she had a free weekend to come to LA, the ultimate LA girls weekend was in the books.
In my opinion, girls weekends should revolve around catching up and cultivating your friendships and food… food and wine are key ingredients.
Becca had a late flight into LA and I knew we would have so much to catch up on so we went back to my apartment for wine, cheese, and chips & salsa. Actually now that I think about it, chips and salsa has had a large part in our friendship.

On Saturday, Becca needed to hit up her beloved 901 Salon and I got a run in before we met back up for tea at Alfred Tea Room to begin our adventures for the day. Alfred’s Tea Room is located on Melrose Place and is so #instagramworthy and I love anything pink!
After some boba tea and some photos we decided we needed real food. We had lunch on the rooftop of EP/LP then hit the Culver City Hotel for happy hour. There is nothing better for a LA girls weekend than dining al fresco! For dinner we walked to Cannibal LA, a new hot spot in Culver City and then took the train back to my house to end the evening watching Ali Wong and laughing together.
Sunday we met up for brunch with our friend Julia at Sunny Spot. Sunny Spot is perfect for an amazing brunch and I love that their bottomless brunch includes mimosas, bloody mary’s and a rum punch… so you can change it up a bit. The rest of the day was spent hanging at my house binge watching You’re the Worst and making homemade pizza before Becca had to return to San Francisco. All in all I think we had a great girls weekend!
What do you think makes a great girls weekend? Let me know in the comments!

Welcome to Bad Wolf Brunch 2.0! We have done a little bit of house cleaning over here. While I love my Bad Wolf Brunch, the new version will have a wider arrange of content focusing on healthy living and lifestyle.
A few new things!
I have re-worked my categories to make the site easier to navigate as my content grows. There are added style and lifestyle categories, and the healthy living section will house all of my running posts.
Over in my nerdiness section I have divided posts out by fandom so you can easily search for any Star Wars, Harry Potter, or Marvel posts you want!
I have spruced up my “about me” page to give a bit more back ground information on my blog’s history and more contact information. I started using the line from Halloweentown a while ago in my instagram header “Being normal is vastly overrated” and I think this sums me up pretty well.
I hope you enjoy the new Bad Wolf Brunch and more regularly scheduled programming! See you next week for all the Bad Wolf Brunch goodness you love!
Hey Brunchers! Repping your favorite fandom to the office place is not the easiest of tasks…
I am fortunate enough to work in a more casual office place, but this was a look that I put together for a Friday at the office. Very geek chic!
I am representing Doctor Who with my T.A.R.D.I.S. tank from Jordandene. I love her tops because they are subtle fandom and are perfect for layering. They are also a much better quality that other geek chic tanks I have (read you cannot see my bra).
I layered my tank under an awesome metallic shouldered blazer that I got years ago. A good blazer is such a staple for geek chic. You can turn any tee or tank into a dressier look. Paired with dark wash skinny jeans and my favorite Quay sunnies I was ready to head to the office.
Maybe you have a really fancy Halloween party this year – something where you need to dress to impress with a bit of a spooky touch. Well look no further.
